MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The suspect in a deadly taking pictures of a person and 5 youngsters of their dwelling right here was being held Wednesday on a number of homicide costs as investigators labored to find out what prompted the deadly rampage.
Police say Jarron Deajon Pridgeon, 25, opened fireplace early Tuesday, killing his brother, Javarion Lee, 24, and the kids, all below the age of 10. Pridgeon, 25, had been (*6*) after being charged with assault in 2019, courtroom information present.
The youngsters’s mom, Brittany Anderson, suffered life-threatening accidents in the home and was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital, police stated. She was in secure situation, police stated.
Three different youngsters within the dwelling weren’t injured, police stated.
The slain youngsters had been recognized as Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9. Jarron Pridgeon, who was being held on the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility, lived within the dwelling with the victims at the least a few of the time, police stated.
Jarron Pridgeon, who police stated was not cooperating with investigators, faces six counts of first-degree homicide, one depend of taking pictures with intent to kill and one depend of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
Neighbors informed the Muskogee Phoenix the household had not too long ago moved in and that the kids had been typically outdoors enjoying.

Officers responded to a call about the shooting at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, encountering an armed suspect at the house, Police Chief Johnny Teehee said. The suspect fled on foot after an officer fired but missed. Pridgeon was taken into custody after a short pursuit.
The police chief said investigators were in the process of trying to interview the survivors. Asked whether police had any idea about motive, he replied, “No, we actually do not.”
Pridgeon was charged with assault and battery two years ago after he threw concrete at a woman. He pleaded guilty and was put on probation for three years. A judge in June 2019 ordered an evaluation by a state mental health expert to determine whether Pridgeon “suffers from a psychological sickness,” court records show. A report on the evaluation is filed in the case under seal from the public.
At least two of the dead were students at Creek Elementary School, Muskogee Public Schools said. Grief counseling will be provided for students and staff, the school district said.
Police officers who responded to the scene also were being provided counseling, the police department said.
Mayor Marlon Coleman said the shooting “left our neighborhood paralyzed with grief.”
“Even although the suspect is in custody, no courtroom of regulation or sentencing part can restore this lack of life,” he said. “I’m asking our neighborhood to precise its considerations by being resolute in its potential to take care of each other.”
